Ricky and Jimmi ventured into the burbs from the city and treated me to lunch today. Wow, what a nice time we had. I really need my friends right now. I have eluded here too what a hard summer it's been, and the love and support of friends has meant everything. Once again I am reminded of all the things I have to be grateful for. In a time of crisis I have reconnected with some relationships I thought were long beyond repair. As the rug was ripped out from under me, so many were there to break my fall. The crazy (or miraculous if you will) part is in no instance did I request to reconnect. It simply happened divinely, naturally without tugging. No matter how choppy the waters get I love it when I can lay back, let the sunshine hit my face and listen for a little voice in my head that reminds me, easy does it.

Me and my peeps are just some cool kids from the 80's. We've been through worse and survived to tell the tale.

That sounds nice. Nothing like a few friends and a lazy Sunday lunch to make things better. Oh and I love that pic of Deb and Chris. Anyway, hang in there, kiddo, it will get better, trust me. |
