Part of the itinerary on my summer vacation this July includes a trip the Grand Canyon. While I might not seem like the rugged outdoorsy type, I actually adore being around nature. Maybe it's the Sagittarius in me, but all aspects of gorgeous scenery delight me.
I have always wanted to visit the desert. Like a lot of people I've seen the desert in movies and it's vastness amazes me. The desert has that dangerous quality. It's not like being lost on a highway or in a city, you could perish in the desert.
We are going to visit an Indian reservation that happens to be the new location of the Grand Canyon Skywalk. I can't promise I will have the nerve to walk this plank but we're planing on loads of pics and video either way.
Idea! Julie and I should write a script ALA Tarantino style, about two women that cross the desert but end up at war with each other. Knock down, drag 'em out gun slinging stuff. Maybe throw in a hot guy and a sleazy motel! I know exactly who I want to play me (don't laugh) and who I want to play Julie. Stay Tuned!

A beautiful place, I've only seen it from the window of a plane. I have to think that's going to be one fun trip with a far better perspective, although I'm not so sure about that bridge thingy. |

I love the dessert, but Palm Springs is a close as I ever got. You are right, it is so vast and intimidating, but so lovely at the same time. Not sure if I have the stomach for that cat-walk. I love the idea of a movie, but I was thinking more of something akin to The Baghdad Cafe; you and your friend open this funky little bar in Death Valley (lots of hot guys passing through, sans shirts, and the occasional misadventure!)... I smell an Oscar! |

I would like to pee in the Grand Canyon. Don't ask me why--it's a guy thing. |

I would NOT like to pee in the Grand Canyon! That's some crazy mess right there, Jimmi! Hahaha! |
