Wish Me God's Speed

This summer I'm heading out too Los Angeles and Las Vegas for a glorious vacation totalling three full weeks (More about that later)! Yay me, right? Well Forbes magazine just listed it's top most dangerous airports as if flying wasn't a big enough nuisance and LAX and Philadelphia International of course made the list. LAX boasts 95 incidents, eight serious. Philadelphia International for it's size has a whopping 36 incidents, two serious which they say is very high.

I feel certain some of the "incidents" must include the rude baggage handlers that work at Philadelphia as well as the belligerent parking lot attendants. Don't get me wrong it doesn't fluster me, I convinced myself long ago that it's the down-to-earth charm unique only to the city of brotherly love. Usually Philly makes the list for fattest residents, best cheese steaks or most police brutality. It's nice too see were staking our claim in the friendly skies as well.

I've just come to expect rude & belligerent service when I'm at an airport. The only exception to that was in Albany, where I found tons of friendly people. On the other hand, it was more like a large bus terminal than an airport, but it was still a pleasant change. Congrats on the vacation.
