Thats a funny expression, getting your ducks in line. I think thats impossible because life isn't something we control. Whatever I achieve it always seems I push myself for more. I have to start letting things be enough. I need to remember that I will never have my ducks in a line because there is no such thing.

wait--isn't it "ducks in a row?" (i'm blinking in horror, thinking about how i've been misusing this phrase!) but then again, my hubby calls me "ricky ricardo" because i'm known for my own malapropisms and idiom misquotes. but yes--I have always imagined what "ducks in a line/row" meant. What is so important about literally having your ducks in order that it has become a beacon phrase for being organized? |

C(h)ristine I believe you are correct. Many people live under the illusion of having their "ducks" in a row. I am not one of those people. :) |
