The other day I strolled down the street humming these long gone 80’s lyrics to myself and it hit me! I know what I should do for that Halloween party. I'll out-fit myself in vogue attire from my most beloved era, the eighties. How glorious will it be to wear the asymmetrical collar off the shoulder, the thick socks with leggings, rubber bracelets and big hair? I called my sister-in-law who is a stylist and ran the idea past her.
“We’ll set your hair in perm rods and tease the hell out of it and spray it with Aqua Net and I have purple scrunch socks you can borrow!” she gasped all in one breath.
I squealed with anticipation, “So you think it’s a good idea then? I’m going to buy a pair gloves, cut off the fingers and just wear one. “
Thank goodness for Halloween. I can’t wait for this party.

Liz, you are definitely wierd! By the way, AquaNet is the best hairspray to use in "potato launchers". Just a tiny spray packs a mean punch! |

Ah the eighties – the decade that style forgot! Looking back the people look awful and plastic – a far too young to be out after dark! Looking at that snap of the girl at the height of eighties ‘sophistication’ reminds me of an expression my old mum used a lot back then when confronted by a girl with that moody look an over rouged cheeks. ‘look at her’ she used to say ‘she‘s got a face like a slapped arse!’ |

I loved the eighties for the music, but the clothes, yuk! - I think I burned all of my leg warmers and chain belts!! Have a great time at the party; can't wait to see the picture of the hair! |

Mary~ The clothes went with the music (think Cindy Lauper). With those cheesy videos and those movies (Flashdance) what other clothes could you wear?? hehe |
